I am not a Teacher, but an Awakener

I am not a Teacher, but an Awakener I am not a teacher, but an awakener. -Robert Frost (1874-1963) These words belong to the great American poet Robert Lee Frost. He is highly regarded for his realistic depictions of rural life and his command of American colloquial speech. Frost was honored frequently during his lifetime, receiving four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry. He was awarded the  Congressional Gold Medal in 1960 for his poetical works. On July 22, 1961, Frost was named Poet laureate of Vermont. Inspired by his mothers innovative ideas about education, and to augment his meager income as a poet, Robert Frost turned to teaching. During Frost’s nearly 50 years of teaching, he was able to influence his students because his approach focused on developing their ability to think critically and generate their own ideas.  Robert strove to be the type of teacher that gives you a little prod behind and you jump to the skies. Our tutors have the same  approach in teaching their own students as  Robert Frost. They developed their  unique tutoring styles. Each one is equipped with a range of interesting and effective tutoring techniques  that will help you succeed in your classes and reach your goals.

Is Breakfast the Most Important Meal of the Day - ALOHA Mind Math

Is Breakfast the Most Important Meal of the Day While the answer to this question might make for popular debate, there is no doubt about it in the case of school going children. It is definitely to the advantage of your child to have a filling and nutritious meal before starting their classes every morning. It should provide them the required energy to pay attention in school, or to take part in sports or gym activities. In the flurry of activities every morning with everyone rushing off to their workplace or school, it gets tough to plan a balanced and interesting meal every morning. Here are some easy ways that you can go about it: Minimize cooking time: Plan your elaborate cooked breakfasts for the weekends! Where schooldays are concerned, it should be something that you can put together in 10-15 minutes at the most. A boiled egg for example is quick to make and provides some essential protein. Plan items like sandwiches or salads that you could put together easily using pre-cooked or raw ingredients. Freeze, freeze, freeze: Choose items that freeze well, so that you could even prepare and freeze breakfasts for the week if needed. A lot of veggies like carrots, beans and peas take very well to freezing, and will provide the required nutrition punch to your child’s meal. Fruits can be quick to prepare and provide all the color you need! Use colors and fun shapes: If your kids complain that meals are getting boring or repetitive, make small changes by using new ingredients that provide color. You could also try cutting out patterns or funny faces to make even the most mundane sandwiches look more interesting. Not really a breakfast tip, but a note like this one is sure to bring a smile to your child’s face and provide them incentive to finish meal, don’t you think ;)? What Makes a Good Chemistry Menu?

What Makes a Good Chemistry Menu?A good chemistry menu offers more than a delicious food choice. It can give the perfect environment for learning to communicate effectively and in turn, make that communication goes much further. One of the first things to think about when planning an interest chemistry menu is the type of study material. All this should be communicated to the student. Often the student will not even realize the chemistry topics they are being asked to take a course with them. It's important to ask questions before the assignment is even assigned to find out what specific information will be covered in the course. The last thing to consider is where the student needs to go for help or questions. This can become quite daunting if the student is working on a chemistry assignment alone. The college bookstores offer many tips on what book to read, what group of people to talk to, and how to find out if someone else knows about the subject. While a good chemistry theme can wo rk wonders, the preparation of the students and their peers needs to start with them having a solid background. If you have a younger student that is taking chemistry courses, it may be more difficult to get them involved in some type of group. If they feel like they have to stand out by trying to do well, they may be less interested in the subject.Often students are assigned a math, history, foreign language, history, science, and chemistry homework assignments. These must be met in order to have a successful course. The last factor to consider is keeping it simple for the teacher. Have them provide their own chemical name, not your students. Helping the students to make the choice and concepts accessible, and making sure there is enough time spent on their assignment, is critical. A good chemistry menu will have plenty of exercises and practice questions to help with that.Even if you are just teaching small group classes, interest in chemistry can open up great opportunities for co mmunication, as well as the science behind it. Good chemistry menus allow students to meet new people, as well as develop lifelong friendships.
